Garifolla Anes was born in 1957 in Balkuduk village, Kurmangazy District. He is a linguist-scholar and member of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan (since 1992). He graduated from Kazakh State University in 1979. Since 1980, he has worked as a researcher at the Institute of Linguistics of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan and served as a department head at the “Ana Tili” newspaper. Since 1992, he has been President of the “Arys” Foundation, which studies the heritage of repressed Kazakh intellectuals. His research focuses on the history of the Kazakh language, etymology, lexicology, and the language of Makhambet’s works. He is one of the compilers and publishers of H. Dosmukhamedov’s collections “Alaman” and “Isatay–Makhambet,” as well as the books “Nauryz: Revived Traditions” and “Beket Ata.” He has collected and compiled documentary materials on the fate of the Alash intellectuals and published several books on the subject.

Khanbibi Yesenkarakyzy

Recipient of the Order of “Parasat”, the International “Alash” Literary Prize, the title “Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, and medals of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University — an outstanding poet and journalist.

Khanbibi Yesenkarakyzy (born June 30, 1949, Saryagash District) is a journalist and poet. She began her professional career as a teacher.

1971–1976 – Staff member of the “Kyzyl Tu” newspaper (Saryagash District)
1976–1980 – Editor at the Regional Television and Radio Committee
1980–1987 – Chief Specialist at the Regional Center for Folk Art
1987–1993 – Chairwoman of the regional “Charity” Foundation; Chairwoman of the regional “Kazakh Language” Society; Head of the Regional Department of Culture

Since 1994 – Director of the Sh. Kaldayakov Regional Philharmonic.

Author of the prose books: Kanat Kakty, Cloudless Sky, My Star, Zhangulim, Cry of the Soul, Love is Eternal, Book of Poetry, Book of Secrets, I Sailed Toward the Truth.

Awarded the title “Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (1998).

Achievements

She has received letters of appreciation from the Akim of Turkistan Region and the regional Maslikhat, as well as from the Akimats of Akmola Region, Astana, and Shymkent.

She has been awarded medals dedicated to UNESCO (featuring the image of Mukhtar Auezov), “10 Years of Astana,” the 1500th Anniversary of Turkistan, the 10th Anniversary of Independence, and medals of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

Tendik Zhauyrov (born April 13, 1934, Tomarly village, Atyrau) – prominent journalist and academic associate professor.

Graduated with honors from the Faculty of Philology (Journalism Department) of S.M. Kirov Kazakh State University in 1957.

Worked as editor-in-chief of regional newspapers, head of party press departments, correspondent, university lecturer, and author of numerous scientific and documentary publications.

Recipient of the Order of the Badge of Honor and multiple medals.
Laureate of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan Prize (1994).

Tauman Salikpayuly Amandosov

Tauman Salikpayuly Amandosov (05.12.1921 – 08.07.1991) was born in West Kazakhstan Region.

Graduated with honors from S.M. Kirov Kazakh State University.

His doctoral dissertation opponent was the world-renowned scholar Mukhtar Auezov.

Founder of Kazakh journalism theory and practice studies.
Author of 11 monographs and numerous textbooks on journalism.
First Doctor of Sciences in Journalism (specialty 10.01.10) in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

Delegated to multiple Congresses of the USSR Union of Journalists.
Awarded state honors of the USSR and Kazakh SSR.

A school in Atyrau and an auditorium at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University are named after him.
 

Rakhymzhan Shakibaliev

Rakhymzhan Shakibaliev (born September 20, 1936) – Professor, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.

Graduated from the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of the Guryev State Pedagogical Institute.

Defended his dissertation in Moscow under the supervision of Academician E.A. Grebennikov.

Held positions including Associate Professor (1979), Professor (1996), Dean, and Head of the Department of Mathematical Analysis.

Author of 37 scientific papers and 5 teaching manuals.

Awarded:

Ryspay Gabdiev

Ryspay Gabdiev (born 1936, Astrakhan Region, Russia) was a distinguished dombyra player, composer, conductor, and Professor.

He studied at the Tchaikovsky Almaty Music College and performed with the Kurmangazy Kazakh Folk Instruments Orchestra.

In 1957, he became a laureate at the World Festival of Youth and Students in Moscow.

Founder (1990) and long-time Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Dina Nurpeisova Academic Folk Instruments Orchestra of Atyrau Region.

The orchestra successfully toured Austria, Germany, Turkey, and other countries, winning international awards.

Awarded:
    •    Honored Cultural Worker of Kazakhstan (1979)
    •    People’s Artist of Kazakhstan (1996)
    •    Order of “Parasat” (2001)

His name has been given to an arts school and a street in Atyrau.
