  Zhusip Kadyr - (Born January 10, 1937, Guryev, Atyrau region). After graduating from Guryev State Pedagogical Institute in 1961, he began his career as a teacher of Kazakh language and literature at the Abay secondary school in the city.

    •    Director of schools No. 7 named after M. Auezov and No. 19 named after K. Satpayev

In 1982, he lectured on Kazakh literature at the Guryev Pedagogical Institute. He was the head of the Kazakh Literature Department at Atyrau University. In 2001, he was elected a corresponding member of the Academy of Social Sciences.

Серіков Төлеуіш SERIKOV Toleuish Pauedenuly - (Guryev region, Teniz district, Safon village. Born 21.02.1948)

Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor. Academician of the International Engineering Academy and the People’s Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 1964–1969 — Graduated from the Guryev Pedagogical Institute (Chemistry).

For many years — Rector of the Atyrau Oil and Gas Institute. From 1969 to the present day, he has gone through all the important scientific and pedagogical paths. In 1999, he became the confidant of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Atyrau region. He continues his scientific and pedagogical work at Atyrau Oil and Gas University, making a great contribution to the training of scientific personnel and engineers for oil and gas production.

Atyrau Oil and Gas University was founded in 1980. Since then, within the walls of the institute, which has gone through various stages of development and forms of management, many reforms and new introductions have been made to the development of education and science in the West Kazakhstan Higher School and its scientific structure with the participation of T.P. Serikov. He served as the rector of the Atyrau Institute of Oil and Gas.

In 1997, she entered postgraduate studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Department of General Linguistics. In 2000, she defended her Candidate dissertation titled “Functional-Pragmatic Analysis of Headlines (Based on Kazakhstani Newspapers and Television Programs).” In 2010, she defended her Doctoral dissertation at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University titled “Cognitive and Psycholinguistic Mechanisms of Forming the Image of Kazakhstan.”

Prominent Kazakhstani journalist, born in Guryev (now Atyrau). Graduated from Guryev Pedagogical Institute in 1994 with a degree in History.

Began his journalism career at Zharik TV channel in Atyrau, later worked at Prikaspiyskaya Kommuna newspaper.

In 1998, moved to Almaty and worked at KTK TV channel, as well as Express K, Gorod, and Megapolis newspapers (Deputy Editor-in-Chief).

Held senior management positions at national television channels. Served as General Director of “Astana Television” LLP and Chief Producer of “Era” TV Company.

Hosted and authored television programs including Portrait of the Week (KTK), Formula of Personality, Tema, and Open Dialogue (Khabar).

From 2015 — Editor-in-Chief of informburo.kz analytical news portal. Under his leadership, the portal entered the top five online media outlets in Kazakhstan. In 2018, Informburo.kz was recognized as the best national media outlet by the Urker National Award.

Laureate of the Presidential Award in Mass Media (2018), Academician of the Kazakhstan Academy of Journalism, Member of the National Council of Public Trust.
