Expanded Meeting of the Academic Council Held

An expanded meeting of the Academic Council titled “The New Constitution: Education, Science and Innovation as National Priorities” was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University. The meeting was attended by the university leadership, faculty members, and heads of structural divisions.

 

In the first part of the meeting, the key directions and legal aspects of the New Constitution were discussed. Saipulla Sapanov, Doctor of Historical Sciences and Professor, spoke about the historical significance of the Constitution and its role in the development of society. Zhanna Shayakhmetova, Candidate of Legal Sciences and Professor, presented a report on legal issues in the new Constitution, including guarantees of human rights and freedoms.

 

The Chairman of the Board - Rector of Atyrau University, Salamat Idrissov, also delivered a speech on the topic “The New Constitution: Education, Science and Innovation as National Priorities,” highlighting priority areas in the higher education system and the university’s development prospects.

 

During the meeting, Askhat Imangaliyev, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and Professor, also expressed his opinion on the draft Constitution, noting that the new Constitution is an important document for the country.

 

In the second part of the meeting, the results of 2025 and future strategic tasks were considered. Within the framework of the tasks set at the meeting of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the university’s upcoming objectives were analyzed.

 

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Askhat Chukurov delivered a report on academic issues and the analysis of educational programs.

Director of the Department of Science Elmira Adiyetova presented information on the results of research activities and future plans.

 

Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Youth Policy Lyaila Koyshygulova spoke about the university’s tasks within the framework of the “Law and Order” principle.

 

Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalization Bakyt Altynbassov also delivered a report on the university’s development strategy and the mechanisms for its implementation.

 

At the end of the expanded meeting, participants expressed their opinions and proposals, and specific tasks for the upcoming period were defined.
