Social Threats in Modern Society: Stalking and Dropper Activities
At Khalel Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, an educational event entitled “Social Threats in Modern Society: Stalking and Dropper Activities” was organized for students of the 6B06101 “Applied Informatics in Design” educational program of the Department of Software Engineering, Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technology.
The main purpose of the event was to prevent social threats among young people, provide a deeper understanding of the mechanisms behind such offenses, and deliver comprehensive information on legal liability.
In today’s digital era, stalking and dropper schemes have become highly relevant social issues. While the rapid development of the Internet and social networks creates new opportunities, it also contributes to the increase in various forms of misconduct. During the meeting, students were clearly informed about the main characteristics of these threats, their psychological and legal consequences, as well as effective protection measures.
The event was attended by senior inspectors for special assignments of the Domestic Violence Prevention Unit under the Public Safety Department of the Atyrau Region Police Department - Police Lieutenant Colonels Anargul Baktygereyeva and Elvira Yesengaliyeva. Law enforcement representatives shared practical insights, explained the dangers of stalking, described how dropper schemes operate, and outlined the legal consequences using real-life examples.
During the session, students actively asked questions and received professional legal advice. Particular attention was paid to Internet safety, protection of personal data, and avoiding suspicious financial offers. Such open and informative dialogue significantly contributes to improving students’ legal awareness and fostering a responsible civic position.
The event was organized by group curator Zhadyra Moldasheva and second-year students.
Building a safe society begins with the personal responsibility of each citizen. Legal literacy serves as a strong foundation for that responsibility.
