
Universities of the Caspian countries have signed memorandums.
Caspian Universities and Research Centers Discuss Future Collaboration in Education, Science and Culture
As part of the 85th anniversary celebration of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, the XXVII General Assembly of the Association of Caspian Universities and Research Centers focused on the importance of strengthening cooperation in education, science and cultural exchange, as well as on enhancing the effectiveness of joint academic and research programs.
During the meeting, a series of memorandums of understanding were signed among member universities of the Association. In particular, agreements on mutual cooperation were concluded between the University of Gilan and Astrakhan State Technical University, Caspian Institute of Marine and River Transport named after F.M. Apraksin, as well as between Atyrau University and Astrakhan State Technical University, and Atyrau University and Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev.
Participants discussed upcoming joint initiatives and shared their proposals for deepening regional academic collaboration. As a result of the deliberations, decisions were made to conduct scientific research aimed at improving environmental conditions, restoring marine ecosystems, and preserving biodiversity, along with initiatives to promote the languages and cultures of the Caspian region member countries.
The Association also welcomed several new member universities.
It was announced that next year will mark the 30th anniversary of the Association of Caspian Universities and Research Centers, and the next General Assembly will be held at the University of Gilan in Rasht, Islamic Republic of Iran.
