Applicant-2025: What is the minimum passing score?

Dear prospective students,

The Admissions Committee of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University provides essential information regarding fields of study, educational programs available for admission in the 2025-2026 academic year, admission requirements for each program, and the list of required documents for enrollment.
The university accepts applicants with general secondary, technical and vocational, post-secondary, or higher education qualifications, depending on the chosen educational program.

Admissions are conducted only for full-time study.

To participate in the competition for state-funded educational grants (from the Republican or local budgets) or to apply for self-funded education, applicants must have secondary, technical and vocational, or post-secondary education and must have taken the Unified National Testing (UNT), achieving the following minimum scores:

• For programs in Pedagogical Sciences and Law: at least 75 points

• For Physical Education and Sports: at least 90 points

• For other fields of study: at least 50 points

Additionally, the following minimum scores are required: 

• Kazakhstan History, two profile subjects of the UNT, and/or creative exams: minimum 5 points each

• Reading Literacy and Mathematical Literacy: minimum 3 points each

Creative Exam Schedule

Submission of applications for creative exams is conducted in two stages:

• Stage 1 (for grant competition participants): June 20 - July 6

• Stage 2 (for self-funded applicants): June 20 - August 10

Creative exam dates:

• Stage 1: July 8 - July 13

• Stage 2: August 11- August 15

Application Deadlines

• Submission of documents for grant competition: July 13 - July 20

Special Exam for Pedagogical Sciences Applicants

Applicants to Pedagogical Sciences must also pass a special exam:

• For grant competition: by July 15

• For self-funded admission: by August 24

1. Original certificate of general secondary, technical and vocational, or post-secondary education

3. Copy of identity document

4. UNT (Unified National Testing) certificate (if available)

5. Medical certificate in Form 075-U and chest X-ray (fluorography)

6. Copy of a document confirming a sports rank and/or title as defined in Article 35, paragraph 1 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Physical Culture and Sports” dated July 3, 2014 (if applicable)

Documents Required for Admission on a Paid Basis (Full Program Duration)

1. Original of the secondary school certificate or diploma of technical/vocational education

2. Copy of identity document

3. Four 3×4 cm photographs

4. Medical certificate in Form 075-U and chest X-ray

5. UNT certificate

6. Educational grant award certificate (if applicable)

7. Documents confirming preferential rights (if applicable):

• Persons with disabilities of groups I and II

• Individuals with disabilities since childhood

• Children with disabilities

• Persons equated by benefits and guarantees to participants and invalids of the Great Patriotic War

• Ethnic Kazakhs who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan

• Orphans and children deprived of parental care

• Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan from among youth who lost or were left without parental care until the age of majority

These individuals must additionally submit documentation and quota confirmation for preferential rights (if available)

Documents Required for Applicants After College or with Higher Education

1. Original diploma of technical/vocational or higher education

2. Copy of identity document

3. Two 3×4 cm photographs

4. Medical certificate in Form 075-U and chest X-ray

Documents Required for International Students

1. Original and notarized copy of a certificate or diploma of general secondary, technical, or vocational education (nostrification certificate if available)

2. Notarized copy of identity document (passport)

3. Four 3×4 cm photographs

4. Medical certificate in Form 075-U and chest X-ray

5. A receipt confirming submission of documents for nostrification to the Public Service Center (ЦОН)

For Citizens Who Completed Mandatory Military Service

1. Application addressed to the university rector (filled out at the admissions office)

2. Original education document (certificate/diploma)

3. Copy of identity document

4. Four 3×4 cm photographs

5. Medical certificate in Form 075-U and chest X-ray

6. Copy of military ID

7. Certificate confirming completion of military service (obtained from the Public Service Center or through the e-GOV portal)

Documents Required for Participation in the Educational Grant Competition

1. Original and copy of education document

2. UNT certificate

3. Copy of identity document

4. One 3×4 cm photograph

5. Documents confirming preferential rights (if applicable):

• Persons with disabilities of groups I and II, individuals with childhood disabilities, citizens who are children of disabled persons, persons who are equated with participants and disabled veterans of the Great Patriotic War in terms of benefits and guarantees,
• Persons of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan,
• Orphans and children left without parental care, as well as citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan from among the youth who lost or were left without parental care before reaching the age of majority,
• Additionally, these individuals must submit documents and a quota confirming the provision of preferential rights (if available).
