MEETING HELD WITH STUDENTS FROM AZERBAIJAN

A meeting was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University with students from the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The meeting was attended by University Vice-Rectors Bakyt Altynbasov and Rakhmetolla Zakarya, Gulnur Suyeyova, Head of the Department of Internal Policy of the Atyrau Region, Lyazzat Dzhylkyshiyeva, a representative of the “Public Accord” Municipal State Institution, Eldar Akhmedov, Chairman of the “Novruz” Azerbaijani Ethnocultural Association, and international students.

The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues related to the adaptation of students from Azerbaijan to the educational process at the University and life in Atyrau, hear their suggestions and concerns, and provide the necessary support. The meeting also aimed to highlight the importance of the historical, cultural and fraternal ties between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

In the 2026–2027 academic year, 77 students from the Republic of Azerbaijan were admitted to the University. Of these, 30 are pursuing bachelor’s degrees, 10 are master’s students, and 37 are doctoral students. The majority of the students are studying in the field of Economics.

“The University has provided international students with accommodation in student dormitories. All the necessary conditions have been created to ensure that students can receive a quality education in a comfortable and safe environment,” said Vice-Rector Bakyt Altynbasov.

The meeting also addressed issues related to students’ adaptation to the social environment, education system and university life in Kazakhstan. The students raised questions of concern to them and received detailed answers from the University’s Vice-Rectors and specialists.
