Salamat Idrissov, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, welcomed Logan Smith, a volunteer who joined the University through the Fulbright Program.
Fulbright is a prestigious program aimed at promoting international education and academic exchange. The program helps strengthen ties between educational communities across different countries while fostering language practice and intercultural communication.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Board – Rector wished the international specialist success in his new role and expressed confidence that his work would contribute to the development of the University’s educational and international environment.
“Welcome to Atyrau University! Developing international academic ties and creating opportunities for our students to engage more closely with the global education community are among our key priorities. We believe that your work will help our students and faculty improve their English language skills, broaden intercultural communication, and gain valuable new experience. I wish you every success in your work,” said Salamat Idrissov.
Logan Smith expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and said he looked forward to becoming more familiar with Atyrau University’s academic community and working closely with students and faculty members.
During the 2026–2027 academic year, Logan Smith will teach English to students and faculty members, helping them improve their language skills and develop greater confidence in communicating in English in academic and professional settings.
