The second day of Orientation Week for first-year students is currently underway at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University. The main objective of the week is to help students adapt to their new environment and become more familiar with university life.
The second day began with a psychological training session. University psychologists and members of the academic staff of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy organised an engaging and informative training session entitled “Let’s Get Acquainted” for first-year students.
During the training, students had the opportunity to get to know one another better, establish informal communication, work as a team and feel more comfortable in their new environment. They took part in various psychological games and exercises designed to support their adaptation. Specialists also highlighted the importance of psychological adjustment during student life and provided young people with practical advice.
The next activity on the programme was the interactive “My English Level” test, designed to assess students’ proficiency in English. First-year students were able to test their knowledge and determine their current level of English.
Activities organised as part of Orientation Week help students adapt to their new environment more quickly, demonstrate their abilities and become actively involved in the University’s educational community.
More new acquaintances, useful information and exciting activities are ahead for our students!
