Anti-Corruption Competition Held
An anti-corruption public speaking and oratory skills competition was held as part of the “Law and Order” project, organized by the Atyrau Regional Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the support of the Atyrau regional branch of the “Zhanaru” Nationwide Anti-Corruption Movement.
The main objective of the competition was to foster legal awareness and an active civic position among youth in the fight against corruption.
Organized under the “Law and Order” project, the event aimed not only to improve the legal literacy of students but also to promote anti-corruption culture. Students from the 2nd to 4th years of the Law program at the Faculty of Economics and Law actively participated in the competition.
The jury included Nurlan Zhakhin, Deputy Head of the Atyrau Regional Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Anar Demessinova, a member of the Atyrau Bar Association, and senior lecturer of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines, Bella Tazhgarina.
Participants were presented with a case scenario involving corruption crimes in a criminal court process. Through public speaking, students freely expressed their thoughts, advocating for the values of justice and integrity.
As a result of the competition, the best teams were awarded diplomas and letters of appreciation:
• 1st Place – “Rights Defenders”
• 2nd Place – “Judicial Authority”
• 3rd Place – “Guardians of the Law”
