Presidential Advisor Malik Otarbayev Meets with Atyrau Youth
At Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, Malik Otarbayev, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held a meeting with young people of Atyrau region.
The meeting was attended by young scholars and students of Atyrau University, as well as active youth of the region. During the visit, Malik Otarbayev got acquainted with the university’s academic environment and viewed an exhibition of the scientific achievements of students and faculty.
The session included a broad discussion on the key issues and assignments outlined by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during the IV National Kurultai.
Notable speakers included Maksot Rakhmetov, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Informatics, who spoke about artificial intelligence and the development of science; Zhanerke Mustakhim, a young specialist of the university, who presented the goals and work of the eco-campus; and Aruzhan Renatkyzy, head of the “Senator” debate club, who shared insights on youth leadership.
On behalf of local youth leaders, Abylai Kurmetuly, Head of the Atyrau Regional Branch of the “Zhashtar Rukhy” youth wing, also shared proposals.
Malik Otarbayev began his address by conveying the warm greetings of the President and highlighted the 53 specific tasks mentioned at the IV National Kurultai. He emphasized that he had visited several regions to monitor the implementation of these directives.
“The President underscored the importance of prioritizing science and education. Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, is one of the prominent higher education institutions in our country. Studying here is a great honor and an opportunity to absorb quality knowledge. The President is providing full support for the development and realization of young scientists’ ideas. Each university is now implementing major scientific projects, and annual meetings with young researchers are being organized,” stated Malik Nurzhanuly.
He also noted that 2025 marks the 100th anniversary of the official return of the name “Kazakh” and emphasized the importance of preserving the nation’s historical memory and spiritual identity.
At the end of the event, the advisor took commemorative photos with young scholars and participants and expressed his warm wishes.
