A ceremonial event was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University to confer the military ranks of Reserve Lieutenant and Reserve Junior Sergeant, as well as to present military ID cards to the 2026 graduates of the Military Department.
The ceremony was attended by the university's leadership, the academic staff of the Military Department, veterans of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the defense authorities, parents, and invited guests.
A distinctive feature of this year's ceremony was that, for the first time in the university's history, graduates who were awarded the military rank of Reserve Lieutenant also received their military ID cards during the official ceremony.
In accordance with the Order of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 68 graduates were awarded the military rank of Reserve Lieutenant. In addition, under the Order of the Atyrau Region Department for Defense Affairs, 100 graduates were awarded the military rank of Reserve Junior Sergeant.
Chairman of the Board – Rector of the University, Salamat Nurmukhanuly Idrisov, congratulated the graduates of the Military Department, emphasizing that earning a military rank reflects their perseverance, discipline, and sense of responsibility.
He also expressed confidence that the knowledge and practical skills acquired during their military training would serve the interests of the country, regardless of the professional paths the graduates choose. He encouraged them to work with honor and dedication for the unity, security, and prosperity of their homeland.
During the ceremony, graduates were officially presented with their military ranks and military ID cards. On behalf of the graduates, words of gratitude were expressed to the university administration and the Military Department. The celebration concluded with a concert featuring patriotic songs and traditional national musical performances.
At the end of the ceremony, Ruslan Zhalgasuly Naurzbekov, Head of the Military Department and Reserve Colonel, congratulated the newly commissioned reserve officers and reserve junior sergeants on receiving their military ranks. He wished them continued success in their professional careers and future service, as well as honorable service for the benefit of the country.
Through its educational and training activities, the Military Department continues to prepare highly qualified, responsible, and patriotic reserve officers and junior sergeants for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
