The Week of Science at the Department of Russian Philology of H. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University was highly productive. Numerous events were organized by the faculty members.
On April 17, 2026, an International Round Table titled “The Language of Friendship and Cooperation” was held, dedicated to the anniversary of Candidate of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Russian Philology, Honored Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of KazPRYAL, and recipient of the A.S. Pushkin Medal of MAPRYAL for the worldwide promotion of the Russian language, Saniya Ibragimovna Kamelova.
The event was moderated by the guest of honor herself, who opened the round table with her own presentation. The event was attended by the Vice-Consul of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation and the Head of the Russian House in Uralsk, Konstantin Pogorelskiy. A welcoming speech was delivered by the university’s senior staff member, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Professor Nazira Umurzakova. Presentations were also given by Andrey Korablev, head of the ECO “Bylina”, director of the public library “Bylina”, honorary professor of our university, and recipient of the jubilee medal for the 220th anniversary of A.S. Pushkin and the “Holy Rus” medal, Alexander Chalov.
Scholars from Russia, Armenia, and Kazakhstan participated in the round table online. Among them were Professor Bibisara Izmakova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences from Karaganda, and Professor Nadezhda Kravchenko, Doctor of Philological Sciences from Krasnodar. The round table was held at a very high academic level.
All presentations and speeches attracted great interest from colleagues and students of the Faculty of Multilingual Education.
During the discussion, speeches were delivered by Academician Askhats Imanaliyev, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Professor and Academician Bakhtybek Taubaev, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Saypulla Sapanov, as well as deans of faculties Saghyngerai Aimuratov (Faculty of Humanities), Bakhtygul Asanova (Faculty of Physics and Mathematics), and Akmaral Mukhametzhanova (Faculty of Information and Biological Sciences). They also extended their congratulations to the honoree.
