In accordance with the 2025-2026 academic year work plan of the Office of Staff Retraining and Professional Development at Khalel Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, the final reflection meeting of the “PROF Qadam: Curatorship and Mentorship” project was held.
The main purpose of the project was to improve the pedagogical practice of future teachers, provide guidance for a deeper understanding of the educational process at schools, develop professional skills, and support pedagogical initiatives. In addition, the project aimed to strengthen cooperation with educational institutions and create opportunities for the effective organization of practical training.
Within the framework of the project, fourth-year students of the university’s educational programs - “6B01301 Pedagogy of Primary Education,” “6B01502 Physics Teacher,” “6B01507 Chemistry and Biology Teacher,” “6B01503 Informatics and Information-Communication Technologies in Education,” “6B01509 Physics and Informatics Teacher,” “6B01505 Biology Teacher,” “6B01510 Geography and History Teacher,” “6B01704 Russian Language and Literature Teacher in Non-Russian Schools,” and “6B01703 Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages” -completed mentorship practice at BINOM SCHOOL named after Al-Farabi and BINOM SCHOOL named after D. Konayev, gaining professional experience alongside experienced teachers.
During the mentorship program, students improved their skills in lesson planning, setting learning objectives, building effective communication with students, organizing educational activities, and applying modern pedagogical methods in practice. They also combined theoretical knowledge with practical experience and underwent professional adaptation as future teachers.
During the final reflection session, students emphasized the strong support provided by both sides of the project and expressed gratitude to their mentors. In turn, project leaders and school teachers highlighted the importance of providing professional guidance to future young specialists and emphasized the value of the teaching profession.
At the end of the event, students participating in the project received certificates. The directors of BINOM SCHOOL named after Al-Farabi, Onerbek Asylbekovich, and BINOM SCHOOL named after D. Konayev, Gulbarshin Zhumayevna, were awarded letters of appreciation on behalf of Chairman of the Board - Rector Salamat Idrissov for their significant contribution to the successful implementation of the project.
