A seminar on the capabilities of the StrikePlagiarism.com anti-plagiarism system was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University for faculty members, researchers, graduating students, and master’s degree students.
The purpose of the event was to strengthen the principles of academic integrity and develop skills in effectively using modern tools for checking academic papers.
As part of the seminar program, participants were introduced to the main features of the anti-plagiarism system. In particular, they learned how to correctly interpret similarity reports, including evaluating similarity coefficients, citation frequency, and originality thresholds. Methods for detecting various text manipulations - such as microspaces, hidden characters, and the use of symbols from different alphabets were also explained.
Special attention was given to the use of the AI content detection module. Participants analyzed reports generated by the StrikePlagiarism.com system in practice and gained experience through real examples.
During the seminar, graduating students and master’s students had the opportunity to receive answers to their questions regarding the anti-plagiarism system. Faculty members were also provided with methodological recommendations necessary for supervising graduation theses.
