Leadership Training for Girls Continues at Atyrau University

Today marked the second day of the “NextGen Leaders: The Path of Leadership for Girls” seminar-training at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University. The event is being held as part of the Tomiris project, organized with the support of the Department of Internal Policy and the Atyrau City Youth Resource Center.
The project aims to enhance the leadership qualities of active and motivated girls in the region, while also supporting their personal and professional development. A total of 140 applicants submitted their interest in participating, and as a result of a special selection process, 70 students and young professionals from Atyrau Region were chosen to take part.
The training program provides participants with knowledge and hands-on experience in areas such as psychology, etiquette, leadership, and the role of women in public life.
As part of today’s session, participants attended a lecture on “The Image and Traditions of the Kazakh Girl” delivered by Boston University graduate, documentarian, and popular influencer Aliya Ashim. The session offered an in-depth look at the connection between tradition and modernity. In her inspiring talk, Aliya spoke about national identity, the upbringing of girls, and the role of women in culture and science.
Tomorrow, the three-day seminar-training will come to a close. We wish the young leaders continued success on their journey!
