STUDENT WON “BEST DOCUMENTARY FILM” NOMINATION

Sanim Marat, a second-year Journalism student at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, won the “Best Documentary Film” nomination in a national competition.
The contest was held as part of the traditional Zeinolla Sanik Readings, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of writer, publisher, editor, and ethnographer Zeinolla Sanik. It was organized by the Department of Publishing, Editing, and Design Arts of the Faculty of Journalism at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
Creative works submitted to the nationwide competition were evaluated in four categories: Best Press Material, Best Academic Research, Best Documentary Film, and Best Work of Design Art.
A jury of doctors of science and industry professionals recognized Sanim Marat’s documentary film “The Height of Wisdom – Zeinolla Sanik” as the winner in the “Best Documentary Film” category.

Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University expresses its gratitude to Al-Farabi KazNU, particularly to Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Kanat Auesbayuly, Head of the Department of Publishing, Editing, and Design Arts, Doctor of Philological Sciences Aigul Ramazanova, and to the main sponsor of the competition – the Zeinolla Sanik Cultural Foundation – for organizing this creative platform and fostering the professional growth of future journalists.
