Congratulations on April 12 – Day of Science Workers!

To mark the Day of Science Workers, scientists and staff laid flowers at the monument of one of the nation’s most revered figures, academician Kanysh Satbayev, honoring his memory and legacy.At the ceremonial event, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Atyrau University Salamat Idrissov delivered a congratulatory speech, extending his warm wishes to the scientific community:
“The outstanding contribution of our great compatriot, academician Kanysh Satbayev, continues to serve the nation and benefit future generations. Every conscious citizen considers it a duty to honor his legacy and memory. Today, thanks to the support of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kazakhstani science is confidently asserting its position on the global stage and entering a new phase of development through innovative projects and advanced research. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan is creating significant opportunities to turn science into a pillar of industry and a driving force of the economy.
As the leading educational institution in the western region with an 85-year history, Atyrau University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov is making a meaningful contribution to the development of domestic science. Our researchers are offering scientific solutions to pressing regional issues and actively participating in both regional and international projects. Notably, our university scientists have received funding from the “Science Fund” of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan to implement scientific and laboratory research, commercializing their inventions and further strengthening scientific progress in Atyrau. These are the results of the tireless efforts of our academic staff, young doctoral researchers, and master’s students,” – said Rector Salamat Idrissov.
The event was also attended by Bagyt Sherkeshbayeva, Director of the S. Mukashev Atyrau Polytechnic Higher College, and Mustakhim Mukhtarov, Director of the Caspian Region Modern Higher College, along with students and faculty members from both institutions.
During the ceremony, scholars shared reflections on the life and achievements of academician Kanysh Satbayev, and students recited poems dedicated to his remarkable legacy.
