University Staff Honored Ahead of the Day of Science

On the eve of the Day of Science, Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University successfully concluded its Science Week dedicated to April 12 – the Day of Science Workers. The final event was attended by university leadership, professors, and teaching staff.

Within the framework of Science Week, various scientific conferences, methodological seminars, intellectual competitions, and student project contests were held.

At the closing ceremony of the Science Week, Vice-Rector for Science and International Relations Kansulu Utepkaliyeva remarked:

“Dear colleagues, the designation of April 12 as the Day of Science Workers is no coincidence. It is linked to the birthday of the prominent scientist, first academician, the country’s first professional geologist and metallurgist, and founder of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan – Kanysh Satbayev. We sincerely thank you for your invaluable contribution to the advancement of science and the growth of Atyrau University!”

The Vice-Rector also presented an overview of the university’s scientific achievements for 2024.

During the event, a number of faculty members were awarded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for their significant contributions to the development of science and education. Organizers of the Science Week and participants in student research contests were also awarded letters of appreciation on behalf of the university administration.
