Scientific and Methodological Seminar Held

As part of the Science Decade, a scientific and methodological seminar titled “Current Issues and Future Prospects of Biological Education” was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.
The event brought together specialists from the education sector of Atyrau Region, university faculty members, and students.
Organized by the Department of Biology and Fisheries, the seminar addressed pressing issues such as the importance of biology in the education system, the need to update curricula, the insufficiency of practical training, the professional qualifications of teachers, and the shortage of digital resources.
The seminar featured informative presentations by Gulmira Tazhiyeva, Senior Lecturer at the Atyrau Regional Branch of “Orleu” National Center for Professional Development, and Sholpan Khamzina, Head of the Department for Talent Identification and Support under the Atyrau Regional Department of Education.
The speakers provided insights into current challenges in teaching biology in Kazakhstan, proposed ways to enhance the education system, discussed effective methods for organizing scientific projects, and shared strategies for fostering students’ creative potential - all supported by concrete examples.
At the end of the event, participants engaged in an open discussion and addressed questions of shared interest related to the topic.
