The Rector Welcomed World Cup Winner Alfiya Tilekkabyl

Salamat Idrisov, the Rector of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, welcomed university student and World Cup winner Alfiya Tilekkabyl and her coach – Honored Coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan, holder of the “Kurmet” and “Parasat” orders, and Atyrau University alumnus Zhandos Kiyanov, congratulating them on their victory.
At the World Cup in Parajudo, held from March 23–25 in Tbilisi, Georgia, Alfiya Tilekkabyl, an international master of sports and student of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, competing in the J1, -52 kg category for Kazakhstan’s national team, won the gold medal. In the final match, she confidently defeated NPA representative Victoria Potapova, securing the top spot on the podium. This victory marks another significant achievement for Alfiya on the international stage.
After her successful performance, Rector Salamat Idrissov personally congratulated the athlete, highlighting:
“Atyrau University has always supported Alfiya, and every member of our staff is her fan. She proudly represents our country at every competition, bringing joy to the fans. This May, Alfiya will participate in the World Parajudo Championship in Astana. I wish her all the best and hope to see her once again on the podium. Good luck!”
Alfiya’s coach, Zhandos Karakozhauly, mentioned that the athlete has been practicing parajudo since 2022 and has achieved significant success during this time. He also emphasized that Alfiya is one of the youngest judokas in the national team and is considered one of the most promising athletes.
