The Second Stage of the “StartUp 2025” Competition Was Held
The second stage of the traditional “StartUp 2025” competition, aimed at young lecturers and students, was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.
Held for the fourth time, the competition provided an opportunity for young entrepreneurs and future startup owners to bring their ideas to life.
This year, 20 applications were submitted to the competition, which was organized to develop creative thinking and entrepreneurial skills among students and young professionals. From these, the commission selected the 7 best projects and submitted them to a panel of experts for review. The projects were categorized into four areas: business, social, scientific, and university image development.
The jury of the second stage included: Askar Aldan, Director of the Atyrau branch of the Kazakhstan Educational and Sports Robotics Federation KazRobotics; social entrepreneur and founder of BilimHub LLP Sharbat Bisaliyeva; Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Askhat Chukurov; Vice-Rector for Science and International Relations Kansulu Utepkaliyeva; and Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Youth Policy Lyailya Koishygyulova. They listened to the presentations and evaluated the projects fairly.
The 7 finalist projects were:
1. Aigerim Bimurzinа – “Phyto Kozha” project;
2. Karakat Sakenkyzy – “Shandoz” project;
3. Gulnur Sapidollayeva – “Al.ash” – an educational notebook for children and teenagers;
4. Aruzhan Satym – Souvenir items made from epoxy resin dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University;
5. Mukhamedrakham Tanatar – “EcoMap” project;
6. Gulzada Dasheva – “ConnectUp Project”;
7. Rishat Rashitov – “ABIS LibAU” – a project to modernize and expand the electronic library of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.
Competition results:
1. 1,000,000 KZT — Aruzhan Satym (Souvenir items made from epoxy resin dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University);
2. 1,200,000 KZT — Karakat Sakenkyzy (“Shandoz”);
3. 1,400,000 KZT — Aigerim Bimurzinа (“Phyto Kozha”);
4. 6,500,000 KZT — Rishat Rashitov (“ABIS LibAU” project).
At the end of the event, the university leadership emphasized its continued support for students and young researchers in realizing their ideas.
