Students of School No. 39 Got Acquainted with the Work of the H. Tabyldiev Research Institute

A cognitive meeting was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University for students of School No. 39. The event was led by Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Zhamiga Tanatarova.
During the meeting, students learned about the activities of the H.B. Tabyldiev Research Institute and received important information about the history of the region. Professor Zhamiga Tazhikkzy delivered an insightful lecture on key issues in the history of Kazakhstan, the processes of collectivization and confiscation of property from bai and kulaks (reach people) during the Soviet period, and the results of the regional commission’s work on the rehabilitation of victims of political repression.
During the lecture, students asked thoughtful questions about the Western Alash movement, its branch in the Atyrau region, and shared their opinions. The discussion also touched on the life and legacy of Khalel Dosmukhamedov, the 85th anniversary of Atyrau University, and the rich history of the institution.
The students studied a collection of documents published by the state commission and explored historical facts from H. Tabyldiev’s work “Atyrau in the Fiery Years.” The educational event continued with a tour of the university museum, where the young participants got a closer look at the university’s activities. They also showed great interest in Kazakh national traditions during the events organized in honor of the March 14th celebration of Kórisu (Meeting Day).
This educational meeting was an important step in fostering students’ interest in history and encouraging their involvement in research activities.
