The rector of Lankaran University meets Kazakhstan students
The Rector of LSU, Professor Natig Ibrahimov, met with the visiting students to personally welcome them.
Lankaran State University (LSU) has been collaborating with Atyrau State University named after Khalel Dosmukhamedov in Kazakhstan since 2023. As part of this partnership, two Kazakh students will continue their studies at LSU for one semester during the spring term of the 2024/2025 academic year.
During the meeting, held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, Prof. Ibrahimov highlighted the strong ties between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, the LSU delegation’s visits to Kazakhstan, and the cooperation agreements signed with higher education institutions in the country. He also discussed key topics from the “Expanding Cooperation in Higher Education between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan” roundtable, held at ADA University on March 4. Prof. Ibrahimov took an interest in the students' first impressions, experiences, and any concerns they had about LSU.
Kazakh student Sabina Ualiyeva expressed her satisfaction with the opportunity to study at LSU, while Diana Abdrasheva shared that she found the academic environment engaging and promising for students. The students noted that courses were conducted in English and that communication was smooth, as many teachers and students were proficient in both Russian and English.
Expressing their gratitude for the warm welcome and supportive environment, the Kazakh students thanked Prof. Ibrahimov for his hospitality and the conditions provided for their studies.
Notably, Rector Natig Ibrahimov has issued an order to award LSU incentive scholarships to the Kazakh students. The meeting concluded with commemorative photographs.
