The presentation of the book “Parasat Saltanaty” took place
On the eve of the 85th anniversary of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University and International Mother Language Day, celebrated on February 21, a presentation of the book “Parasat Saltanaty” was held. The book is authored by Jusip Kadyr Otegenuly, an honorary citizen of the Atyrau region, Doctor of Philological Sciences, and professor.
At the solemn event, honorary citizens of the Atyrau region, representatives of regional educational institutions, specially invited guests, professorial-teaching staff and students watched a video film dedicated to Kadyr Otegenuly’s more than 65-year-long teaching and scientific career.
Kadyr Otegenuly is a member of the Union of Writers and the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan, a recipient of the Parasat Order, and an honorary citizen of the Atyrau region. He is a devoted servant of Kazakh literature and culture, a student and follower of academician Zeynolla Kabdolov’s scientific traditions. His research, particularly on the works of Zhumeken Nazhimedenov, the study of Makhambet’s legacy, and the literary heritage of the zhyrau of Western Kazakhstan, holds a significant place in national literary studies.
“Today’s presentation of the book “Parasat Saltanaty” is not just about one individual but a reflection on the spiritual world of an entire nation. This work tells the story of prominent figures from the Atyrau region, individuals who have made significant contributions to Kazakh literature and science, their life journeys, and their service to the people. Additionally, the book contains valuable information related to art, literature and education.
A special feature of this book is that it is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Askhat Salimuly Imangaliyev, who served in leadership positions at our university for many years and made a great contribution to the fields of science and education. I see this as a sign of respect for a person who has successfully combined the roles of a scholar and a mentor,” said Salamat Idrissov, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, in his welcoming speech.
During the event, university students recited the poet’s verses and performed traditional musical pieces. The audience particularly enjoyed the “Adai” kui and folk songs.
The honorable right to cut the ribbon of the valuable collection “Parasat Saltanaty” was given to the Hero of Labor of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Ilya Zhakhanov, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of Atyrau Region and public figure Murat Oteshov, Honorary Citizen of Atyrau Region and public figure Maksym Izbassov, and University Rector Salamat Idrissov.
“The influence of Kadyr Jusip on today’s youth, on all of us, is truly significant. His place in modern Kazakh literature, his poetry, and his scholarly contributions hold a special status. Despite his age, he continues to create lyrical works that are sincere and profound,” noted Professor Ilya Zhakhanov, emphasizing the importance of the book.
“Your book, “Parasat Saltanaty,” can be called a true “march of wisdom.” It extensively presents the lives and virtues of great personalities who can serve as role models for the younger generation,” said Murat Saktayuly, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of Atyrau Region and public figure, giving high praise to the work.
“We divide wealth into material and spiritual aspects. One cannot develop without the other. However, the level of spiritual wealth must always be higher. That is why we believe that Kadyr-aga’s contribution to the development of society, the country, and our traditions through his works is a significant addition to the nation’s spiritual heritage,” expressed Honorary Citizen of Atyrau Region Maksym Izbassov.
At the end of the evening, attendees highly praised the work of Kadyr Jusip Otegenuly and expressed confidence that such noble initiatives would continue in the future.
