The winners of the “Start Up-2024” competition presented their reports
The reporting event of the winners of the Start Up-2024 competition was held at the Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.
At the meeting, which was attended by professors, teachers and representatives of the business community, young entrepreneurs shared their achievements and the work done over the past year, as well as prototypes of their developments and further development of the project.
The StartUp competition is a creative platform where students can demonstrate their creativity, technical thinking and entrepreneurial spirit.
In 2024, out of 22 proposals participating in the competition in the fields of IT, ecology, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and social entrepreneurship, 13 projects were selected as winners. Among the winning projects: “Art studio” and “American English” – 300,000 tenge, “EdVenture” center and the “iCreate” graphic illustration course and services – 400,000 tenge, “One way” public speaking school, “Newlook” media service, and “IDEP” club – 500,000 tenge, “Production of jewelry from epoxy resin using glass waste” – 600,000 tenge, “Soz joq” – 800,000 tenge, “Online programming school” – 1 million tenge, mobile app “Car Wash” – 1 million 400 thousand tenge, “ASU KPI” – 2 million 500 thousand tenge, creation of the informational website “Asu.edu.kz” – 2 million 800 thousand tenge.
“Together with our team, we participated in the startup project competition with the project ‘Website of Atyrau University’, won the grand prize, and received financial support of 2,800,000 tenge. Five programmers united and created a new website for our university. Taking into account the errors of the old website, we added several software features to the new site: we implemented a search button, as well as several admin management systems for the convenience of adding media resources. Furthermore, the main advantage of the updated site is that a section has been added where graduates and site users can view job vacancies posted by employers. The design of the new site has been improved compared to the previous version, making it more user-friendly and minimalist,” said the winner of the Start Up competition, Dana Salamatkyzy.
The event provided a great opportunity for students not only to showcase their achievements but also to find like-minded individuals, mentors, and potential partners.
“The main goal of the “Endi” project is to create a domestic product. Since winning the startup in 2024, we have been working on designing a brand with a modern look that reflects the features of the Atyrau region and combines national values with the image of our university. Since the beginning of last year, we have used the funds received for supporting startup projects to research the market, search for materials, and develop designs. Currently, we have 7 design projects ready. Next year, in addition to t-shirts, we plan to release sweaters with new designs,” said the author of the “Endi” Start-Up project, Dias Serikbayev.
At the end of the event, the project authors exchanged ideas with the participants, and new suggestions were made.
We eagerly await new ideas and achievements at “StartUp-2025”!
