Works of the writer Berik Korkytov were honored
An open curatorial hour dedicated to the promotion of the works and life path of the writer, member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan Berik Korkytov was held at the Atyrau University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov.
The event, organized by the Department of Russian Philology, was attended by Marta Berikkyzy, Berik Ybyrashuly's daughter, teachers and students of the department.
The open curatorial hour began with a preface by Kamelova Saniya Ibragimkyzy, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Professor, organizer of the event.
Students of the department made informative presentations, quoting memories of the life path and works of Berik Korkytov, a famous writer, playwright, local historian, chronicler, winner of the Makhambet Literary Prize, translator. The participants read the poem "Araina" by Makhambet Utemisuly, the beloved poet of the chronicler-writer, and together sang the song "Keshikpei kelem dep en" by the famous musician Shamshi Kaldayakov.
At the end of the meeting, Marta Berikkyzy, the daughter of Berik Ybyrashuly, who worked at Atyrau University for several years, said: "It is always difficult to talk about parents. My mother and father showed special love both at work and at home. "The first is love for family, and the second is endless love for work, science and education," shared warm memories of her father and expressed gratitude to the staff and students of the department.
