Biography
BAKTYBEK ZHUBANDYKYLY TAUBAYEV is a Candidate of Economic Sciences, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor of Economics, and a distinguished scholar with extensive experience in scientific and pedagogical work.
He graduated in 1959 from the Kazakh State Agricultural Institute with a degree in Agronomy, qualified as a soil scientist–agrochemist. Throughout his academic career, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in Economics in 1996 and Professor in 2006. In 2007, he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Agricultural Sciences.
His scientific interests include issues of public administration. Since 1992, he has been working at Kh. Dosmukhamedov University, making a significant contribution to the development of education and science.
His work has been highly recognized at both national and international levels. He was awarded the “50 Years of Virgin Lands Development” medal in 2005, the badge “For Contribution to the Development of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan” in 2006, and the “Ybyrai Altynsarin” badge in 2010. In 2011, he received the 1st Degree “Labor Glory” badge. In 2012, he was awarded the title “Honored Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” and in 2015 he received the “Excellent Worker of Agriculture” badge. In 2018, he received letters of appreciation from organizations in both Atyrau and Astana. In 2019, he was awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of Atyrau Region.” In 2025, he was awarded the Order of “Kurmet” (Honor).
In his scientific work, Baktybek Zhubandykyly is the author of several fundamental studies. His three monographs—“Rational Use and Management of Pastures in Sandy Deserts (Based on the Volga–Ural Sands)”, “Improving Soil Fertility of the Volga–Ural River Region in the Rehabilitation of Degraded Dry Pastures in Kazakhstan”, and “Methods for Increasing the Pasture Potential and Productivity of Natural Pastures in the Volga–Ural Region”—make a significant contribution to the development of agricultural science.
He has also served as the head of research projects such as “Ways to Improve the Efficiency of the Economic Potential of the Agricultural Sector in the Atyrau Region” and “Development of Small and Medium Enterprises in the Atyrau Region.”
