Kambarbek Khasenovich Amanov

Kambarbek Khasenovich Amanov is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Fine Arts and Design of H. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, Academician of the Academy of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan, and the Union of Designers of Kazakhstan. He was born on December 2, 1951. From 1972 to 1976, he studied at the N.V. Gogol Art College in Almaty, where he obtained the qualification of an artist-teacher. He then continued his education at the V.I. Surikov Moscow State Academic Art Institute from 1976 to 1982, graduating as a professional painter. He began his professional career in 1982 as a lecturer at the T. Zhurgenov Almaty Theatre and Art Institute. In 1983, he worked at the Guryev Art Production Workshop of the Art Fund of the Kazakh SSR. In 1986, he was appointed Chairman of the Artistic Council and Creative Section of the Art Fund. Since 1999, he has been working as a Senior Lecturer at H. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University. In 2004, he also taught at the Sh. Sariyev Museum Art Studio. Since 2009, he has continued his academic career at the Department of Fine Arts and Design. He has made a significant contribution to the development of fine arts, painting, design, and art education. In 1984, he became a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. In 1987, he participated in the All-Union plein air at Lake Sevan in Armenia. In 1988, his first solo exhibition was held. In 1989, he was appointed Chief Designer of the regional design fund, and in 1997 became its director. In 2001, he joined the Union of Designers of Kazakhstan, and in 2009 became a Corresponding Member of the Academy of Arts of Kazakhstan. For his long-standing creative and academic contributions, he has received numerous awards, including the “Excellence in Culture” badge, the A. Kasteev Gold Medal (2018), the Akhmet Baitursynov Gold Badge, and the Jubileebadge dedicated to the 85th anniversary of H. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University (2025).
