Biography
(27.05.1964) — Doctor of Historical Sciences (11.04.2011), Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (17.03.2014). He was born in 1964 in the settlement of Makat, Atyrau region, into a family of oil workers. Kazakh by nationality, with higher education. In 1981, he enrolled at the Guryev Pedagogical Institute and graduated in 1986 with a degree in “History, Social Studies, and Soviet State Law.” In 1986–1987, he fulfilled his civic duty in the ranks of the Soviet Army. On December 15, 1987, he was appointed as a lecturer on a competitive basis at the Department of “History of the USSR and General History” of the Guryev Pedagogical Institute. In 1992, he worked as a senior lecturer and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of History and Law. In 1997–2000, he served as Secretary of the University Academic Council. In 2001–2004, he worked as Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law. In the 2004–2005 academic year, he was appointed Head of the Department of Civil Law Disciplines. From November 2004 to August 22, 2011, he worked as Head of Department at “Bolashak” University in Kyzylorda. Since August 15, 2011, to the present, he has been working as an Associate Professor of the Department of Kazakhstan and World History at H. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.
In 1999, at the Dissertation Council of Kostanay State University named after Akhmet Baitursynov, under the supervision of Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Zulkarnai Aldamzhar, he defended his Candidate of Sciences dissertation in the specialty 07.00.02 — National History (History of the Republic of Kazakhstan) on the topic “Issues in the History of the National Liberation Movement of the Kazakh People in 1836–1838.” In 2003, at the Dissertation Council of the R. Suleimenov Institute of Oriental Studies, under the supervision of Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Mambet Koigeldiev, he defended his second Candidate of Sciences dissertation in the specialty 07.00.09 — Historiography, Source Studies, and Methods of Historical Research on the topic “The Source Base and Historiography of the National Liberation Movement of the Kazakh People Led by Isatay Taimanuly and Makhambet Utemisuly (1836–1838).” On February 27, 2010, at the Dissertation Council of West Kazakhstan State University named after Makhambet Utemisov, he defended his Doctor of Historical Sciences dissertation in the specialty 07.00.02 — National History (History of the Republic of Kazakhstan) on the topic “Formation and Development of Worker and Engineering-Technical Personnel in the Oil and Gas Industry of Kazakhstan (1890–1990).”
