Biography

Honorary Citizen of Makat District, Atyrau Region. He graduated from the Faculty of History of S.M. Kirov Kazakh State University (1986). He worked as a lecturer and senior lecturer at H. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau State University (1992–2007), served as Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan (2008–2017), Head of the State Archive of Atyrau Region (2018–2022), and is currently an Associate Professor of the Department of Kazakhstan and World History at H. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University. Within the framework of the “People in the Stream of History” program, he was a member of the Public Council for Coordinating the Study of National History under the Akim of Atyrau Region (2013–2014), a member and team leader of the regional commission for the full rehabilitation of victims of political repression in Atyrau Region (2021–2023), and a member of the Atyrau Regional Onomastic Commission. Research interests: History of Kazakhstan, regional history, political repression. Additional education: Internship at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Valencia, Spain) under the “Teaching Techniques Development” program (2015); course “Modern Pedagogy and Teaching Subjects in English” conducted by the Swiss American Academy at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University (2016); advanced training course under the project “Implementation of the Pedagogical Education Model and Strengthening Its Content” (2024), coordinated by HAMK University of Applied Sciences (Finland), in cooperation with Nazarbayev University and supported by the World Bank, and others. Published works: the monograph “The Atyrau–Mangystau Region during the Revolutionary Changes of 1917” (2010); the document collection “Socio-Political Life of Kazakhstan in the Documents of the State Archive of Atyrau Region” (2019); the two-volume document collection “Eternal Tribute. Atyrau Region during the Great Patriotic War” (2020); the document collection “Representatives of the Intelligentsia of Guryev District in 1920–1923 (Historical-Biographical Reference)” (2021); the two-volume document collection “Materials of the Regional Commission for the Full Rehabilitation of Victims of Political Repression in Atyrau Region (1920s–1950s)” (2022); the monograph “History of Atyrau Region. From Ancient Times to the Present,” Volumes 2–3 (2023); the collection of documents and articles “Atyrau Region in the 1920s–1930s” (2023); the encyclopedic collection “At the Turn of the Century. 100 Years of Makat District” (2024).
