Gulfairuz Kairgaliyevna Kairgaliyeva

Candidate of Historical Sciences (2010). She was born on October 29, 1968, in the village of Kulagino, Inder district, Atyrau region. Historian. Educator. In 1986, she graduated from Makhambet Secondary School of Makhambet district, and in 1991, she graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with a degree in History. By assignment of the Ministry of Education of the Kazakh SSR, she began working as a young specialist at the Guryev Pedagogical Institute (now H. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University). She worked as a trainee lecturer and lecturer at the Department of History of the USSR, as a senior lecturer at the Department of History of Kazakhstan, and since 2014 has been working as an Associate Professor. She has held the positions of Deputy Dean of the Faculties of History and Law, and History and Philology, Head of the University Information Service, Dean of the Faculty of History and Philology, Head of the University Press Service, and Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts. Since January 2020, she has been serving as Head of the Rector’s Office. Her main research area is national history, particularly the institution of batyrs as a component of the social structure of traditional Kazakh society. In 2010, she defended her Candidate of Sciences dissertation on the topic “The Institution of Batyrs and Its Role in Traditional Kazakh Society (Based on the Bokembay Batyr Lineage).” She is the author of the monographs “The Institution of Batyrs in Kazakh Society” and “The Contribution of Women to the Formation of Kazakhstan’s Oil Industry,” the teaching aid “Methods of Teaching History,” as well as scientific articles published in international and national journals. She became the winner of the Republican competition “Best University Teacher of the Republic of Kazakhstan” and received a grant (2018). Awards: She has been awarded a Letter of Appreciation from the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the badge “Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” a Letter of Appreciation from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev, a Certificate of Honor from the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, the badge “Best University Teacher of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (2019), the “Akhmet Baitursynov” silver medal of the Association of Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a Letter of Appreciation from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.J.K. Tokayev, the commemorative medal “30 Years of Independence of Kazakhstan” (2021), the “Akhmet Baitursynov” award of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2024), the commemorative badge “30 Years of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan” (2025), the badge “For Active Service” of the “Amanat” party (2025), as well as Letters of Appreciation from public organizations and the university.
