Kalamkas Bagitova – PhD, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Informatics. Education and Academic Degree  2006–2010 – Bachelor’s degree in Informatics (Specialty 050602), Atyrau University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov.  2010–2012 – Master of Pedagogical Sciences in Informatics (Specialty 6M011100), Atyrau University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov.  2016–2018 – Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages (Specialty 5B011900), Atyrau University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov.  2019–2022 – Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the educational program Information Security Systems (8D06301), Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.  In 2023, successfully defended her PhD dissertation titled “Development and Research of Methods and Models for Detecting Political Extremism in Online Social Networks.” She is a recipient of the “500 Scientists” scholarship program in the field of Artificial Intelligence. From May 5 to October 30, 2025, she completed a research internship at Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh, Scotland) under the international Bolashak program. Work Experience  2012–2019 Worked as a lecturer and senior lecturer at Atyrau University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov, where she also held the positions of Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Deputy Dean for Strategic Development and Research.  2020–2022 Researcher at the Department of Information Systems, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.  2022–present Senior Lecturer, PhD, Associate Professor at Atyrau University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov; since 2024 – Head of the Department of Informatics. Research Interests Artificial intelligence, neural networks, text data processing, social network analysis, information security, and the development of automated information systems.
