Expanding Horizons - ORHUN Program

In recent years, Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University has established strong partnerships with many foreign universities. These include the Bolashak International Program, Erasmus+ (EU), ORHUN, and Mevlana exchange programs.

Within the ORHUN academic mobility program, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Candidate of Economic Sciences Elmira Mizamgalikyzy Adietova is currently undertaking an international internship at Ibn Haldun University in Istanbul, Turkey.

The purpose of the internship is to strengthen academic cooperation and exchange experience between partner universities through teaching and research activities.

According to the approved schedule, during the second half of the 2025-2026 academic year, she delivered two-week lecture and seminar courses for master’s and doctoral students at the School of Business (Economics Department), including:

• Advanced Microeconomics (ECON 603)

• Microeconomic Analysis (ECON 503)

• Advanced Econometrics (ECON 604)

• Statistics II (STAT 102)

• Sustainable Development Concept

She also conducted academic consultations and collaborated on research with faculty members, including Professor Dr. Asad Ul Islam Khan, Professor Dr. Hasan Vergil, and Professor Dr. Muhittin Kaplan.

Upon completion of the internship, she was awarded a certificate.

Such exchanges of experience, as well as teaching and seminar methodologies, have proven beneficial for both universities’ faculty and students.
