Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University hosted an official visit by representatives of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kazakhstan.
The delegation included Ari Veldhuizen, Agricultural Counsellor, and Yulia Nabatova, Coordinator of the Agricultural Office.
The meeting was attended by Bakyt Altynbassov, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalization, Gulzira Dauletova, Head of the Office of International Cooperation and Internationalization, as well as faculty members and students.
During the meeting, participants discussed the development of Kazakhstan’s agricultural sector, the introduction of advanced technologies, and the role of higher education in these processes. Ari Veldhuizen shared the Netherlands’ experience in developing a sustainable food chain and expressed readiness to expand cooperation with Kazakhstan.
Special attention was also given to the training of specialists. It was noted that the Netherlands widely applies a “green education” system that integrates science, technical skills, and applied knowledge.
Participants also discussed the export potential of Kazakh agricultural products to the European Union market, digitalization in production, and the management of farms through modern technologies. The delegation highlighted the importance of cooperation between enterprises and experience exchange, and also mentioned the European initiative “Women in Agriculture,” aimed at supporting women in the agro-industrial sector.
The visit of the Dutch delegation opens new opportunities for strengthening international cooperation and introducing advanced practices into the university’s educational process.
