“Constitutional Reform: Public Dialogue and the President’s New Initiatives”
Roundtable on Constitutional Reform Held
A roundtable discussion titled “Constitutional Reform: Public Dialogue and the President’s New Initiatives” was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.
Faculty members and students participated in a comprehensive discussion of the Constitutional reform, a key document for the country’s development.
In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Board - Rector Salamat Idrissov emphasized the importance of public dialogue:
“The Constitution is not only the legal foundation of the state but also the spiritual pillar of the nation, uniting its historical memory and confidence in the future. From the preamble of the renewed Constitution, we see Kazakhstan as a mature country that has clearly defined its development path, learned from its past, and confidently moves forward. This is not a random change but a historic choice driven by the demands of time and society. The preamble also highlights education, science, innovation, and human capital development as long-term strategic priorities. This demonstrates that Kazakhstan’s future is linked not to natural resources, but to an educated and conscious generation.”
During the event, speakers analyzed the key innovations of the constitutional reform and changes concerning citizens’ rights and freedoms. Particular attention was given to the role of constitutional referendums in strengthening public legitimacy and social stability.
The roundtable concluded with an open exchange of views among participants.
