Competition for Vacant Educational Grants

for the 2nd Semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year

A competition is announced for vacant educational grants released during the higher education process.

 

Master’s Degree Program:

• M012 - Training of Informatics Teachers

1st year - 1 vacant place

 

The competition is conducted in accordance with Decree No. 58 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 23, 2008, which approves the Rules for awarding educational grants to cover tuition fees for higher and postgraduate education leading to the award of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

 

Chapter 4. Procedure for Awarding Vacant Educational Grants

Vacant educational grants released during the higher or postgraduate education process are awarded on a competitive basis to students studying on a fee-paying basis, by groups of educational programs.

 

In the case of equal GPA (Grade Point Average) scores, priority is given to students who, throughout the entire period of study, have grades of A, A- (“excellent”), followed by B+, B, B-, C+ (“good”). Students with mixed grades are considered thereafter.

 

Vacant educational grants released during the higher and/or postgraduate education process are awarded on a competitive basis during the summer and winter vacation periods according to the following procedure:

1. A fee-paying student submits an application addressed to the head of the institution to transfer to an educational grant, attaching a transcript and a copy of an identity document;

2. Submitted applications are reviewed at a meeting of the Academic Council;

3. The competition is held among fee-paying students who have submitted documents to participate, based on intermediate attestation results, by groups of educational programs and by year of study.
