Open Practical Lesson on Research Methods Conducted in the “Scientific Research Methods and Academic Writing” Course

On November 19, the Faculty of Economics and Law hosted an open practical lesson in the “Scientific Research Methods and Academic Writing” course. The session was conducted by A.K. Masalimova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Economics, for first-year students of the 6B04101 - Economics and 6B04106 - Marketing, Management, and Business programs. During the lesson on the topic “Methods of Conducting Research”, students were divided into two groups to prepare research projects on the question “Is Artificial Intelligence Beneficial or Harmful?”. The “AI Power” group argued that artificial intelligence is beneficial, while “Neiro Urpak” demonstrated, using research methods, that artificial intelligence can be harmful. The lesson included presentations, posters, interviews recorded on video, and puzzle-based activities, successfully achieving its learning objectives. The open lesson was attended by the Faculty Dean, Head of the Department, and professors and lecturers.
