Conference Dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of the Great Victory Held at Atyrau University

At Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, a student conference on reading, titled “Never Forgotten…”, was held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.

The event was organized to honor the heroism of the people of Atyrau during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, as well as their contributions on the front lines and the home front.

The conference was attended by Murat Oteshov, Chairman of the Atyrau Regional Council of Veterans; Salamat Idrissov, Rector of the University; Lyaila Koishyghulova, Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Youth Policy; and descendants of war veterans.

During the conference, students presented their research based on materials from the book “Never Forgotten”, compiled by the university’s scholars, and recounted the heroic paths of local war heroes. The conference was moderated by Shakhman Nagymuly, historian, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, and Professor.

As part of the event, Murat Oteshov presented special commemorative badges dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory to the authors of the book “Never Forgotten” - university scholars Akkali Akhmet, Leskali Berdigozhin, Zhamiga Tanatarova, and Serik Kuanyshov.

In turn, Salamat Idrissov, Chairman of the Board and Rector of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, presented Murat Saktayuly, Chairman of the Regional Council of Veterans, with a specially prepared commemorative badge and expressed gratitude on the occasion of the university’s 85th anniversary.

Among the speakers, first-year students from each faculty took the floor, highlighting the contribution of the Atyrau region during the war years and honoring the names of local heroes.
