Finance and Innovation: Best Student Projects Competition

At Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, the Department of Finance and Accounting organized the first stage of the National Student Project and Research Competition, initiated by the Association of Banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The submitted projects and research works were focused on practical applications in the fields of finance and banking, the crypto industry, and investment management.

The competition jury included experienced professionals from the financial and banking sectors, as well as experts in cybersecurity and data analysis. Among them were Ravil Karzhauov, Director of the “Atyrau HUB” Corporate Fund; Mereke Dabysov, Head of the “Telman” Branch of”“Fortebank” JSC; and Kaiyrzhan Utepbayev, Head of the Card Business Department of “Halyk Bank” JSC’s Atyrau Regional Branch, along with other industry experts.

Based on the results of the competition:

• 1st Place – “Qamqor OS: A New Stage of RegTech and FinTech Transformation in Kazakhstan” by Gulzhaina Tlegenova and Aikun Mukhit;

• 2nd Place – “MindFort: Smart Lock System” by Aiymgul Bershkali and Saltanat Asylbekkyzy, and “AI Personal Finance Planner” by Malika Maratova and Madina Nurguzhiyeva;

• 3rd Place – “AI-Based Financial Analysis and Planning System for Individuals” by Zangar Muratov and Nazerke Adilbayeva, and “Using Neuromarketing to Optimize Digital Customer Experience in Kazakhstan’s Banking Sector” by Asemgul Atshybayeva.
