The XXVII General Assembly of the Association of Caspian Universities Was Held

As part of the 85th anniversary of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, the XXVII General Assembly of the Association of Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Countries was held today.

During the meeting, Rector of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University Salamat N. Idrissov expressed his gratitude for the trust and respect shown to the university.

On behalf of the Atyrau Regional Akimat, Deputy Akim Kairat Nurtayev presented Letters of Appreciation to E.A Yukina, Executive Secretary of the Association, and Professor A.K. Natyrov of B.B. Gorodovikov Kalmyk State University.

In addition, Unzila Shapak, Member of the Committee on Legislation and Judicial-Legal Reform of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Akerke Ablaikhan, Representative of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, highlighted the significant role of the Association in strengthening international cooperation.

The high-level event brought together distinguished representatives from the Caspian region and leading universities of Kazakhstan, including Yuri Timofeevich, Executive Director of the Association of Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Countries; Beibit Mamrayev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, Doctor of Philology, Professor; Julie Ranson, PhD, Associate Professor at the University of Poitiers (France); A.N. Nevalenny, Rector of Astrakhan State Technical University, and others.

During the Assembly, participants identified common scientific directions to promote integration in education and science among universities of the Caspian region, as well as to address ecological and technological challenges.

It should be noted that today, the Association of State Universities of the Caspian Countries has become a reliable partner in the fields of science, education, and cultural cooperation within the region. Going forward, the Association plans to expand these partnerships through the launch of the “Caspian Campus” project, which will focus on academic and teaching exchange programs and the training of a new generation of scientists and engineers.

Additionally, a new initiative titled “Caspian - A Region of Cultural Dialogue” was proposed, aimed at awarding research scholarships and promoting the study of the traditions, languages, and cultures of member countries.

Memorandums of cooperation are also planned to be signed with university associations from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, alongside participation in major international grant programs such as Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, Green Central Asia, and others.
