
Kazakhstani student wins the first gold at the III Turkic Universiade
Today, on the first day of the judo competitions at the III Turkic Universiade, Kazakhstani students made a bright statement.
A student of Khalel Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, Daniyar Kulushev, won a gold medal in the under 60 kg weight category, becoming the tournament’s first champion.
“We are proud of our student’s victory. Daniyar demonstrated willpower, high professionalism, and proved that Kazakhstani youth are capable of competing successfully on the international stage. This medal is the result of systematic work by the athlete, coaches, and the university,” noted the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek.
The athlete’s personal coach, Azamat Sagynganov, emphasized:
“Preparation for the competition was not easy, but Daniyar showed perseverance and confidence. His victory became a motivation for the entire team to move forward and achieve new results.”
Daniyar Kulushev’s victory not only opened Kazakhstan’s medal tally but also strengthened the country’s position in student sports on the international stage.
The judo competitions at the III Turkic Universiade will continue in the coming days, and Kazakhstani athletes have every chance to add more medals to their collection.
