On September 30, 2026, the Akimat of Atyrau Region hosted a meeting of the competition commission for grant projects aimed at implementing the results of scientific and/or scientific and technical activities within the framework of the state order of the local executive body. Scientists from Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University participated in the competition and presented and defended their research projects.
The competition was organized by the Entrepreneurship and Industry Department of Atyrau Region as part of the state order of the local executive body. It is aimed at providing grant funding for the implementation of scientific and/or scientific and technical results in 2026.
The competition provides an opportunity to address pressing regional issues in such areas as ecology, industry, water resources, the oil and gas sector, and agriculture through scientific approaches. It also focuses on putting scientific developments into practice and increasing their tangible contribution to the regional economy.
One of the key areas of the commission's work is the commercialization of research results. This involves integrating ready-to-use scientific developments and technologies into real business and production processes.
The commission also focuses on selecting the most relevant and effective grant projects with strong potential to generate economic benefits for the region. Ensuring transparency in the selection process is another important principle of the competition.
Following the selection process, approved research projects are expected to receive targeted funding from the local budget or special grant funds.
Three researchers from Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University participated in the 2026 grant competition for the implementation of scientific and/or scientific and technical results and defended their research projects before the competition commission.
