Alfiya Tlekkabyl, a student and athlete of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, has become a world champion in para judo.
The World Para Judo Championships are currently taking place in Tbilisi, Georgia. On the first day of competition, Alfiya Tlekkabyl competed in the women’s under 52 kg weight category. In the final bout, she defeated Brazilian athlete De Andrade to claim the world championship title.
World champion Alfiya Tlekkabyl is a student of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University and an International Master of Sport. Her coach is Zhandos Kiyanov, an Honored Coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an experienced mentor who has guided the athlete to numerous outstanding achievements.
