An Enriching Journey to the Land of Abai

On the occasion of the 180th anniversary of the birth of Abai Kunanbaiuly, a delegation of faculty members and active students from Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University embarked on a special trip to Abai Region.

The main purpose of this spiritual and academic journey is to gain a deeper understanding of Abai’s legacy and to help shape the worldview of young people based on national values.

The delegation took part in the national forum titled “Abai’s Concept of the Complete Human: National Values and Contemporary Perspectives” hosted by Shakarim University in the city of Semey. The forum included a plenary session, seminar-training, creative meetings, and cultural activities.

During the plenary session, Atyrau University students Nuraiym Nysanbai, Dana Makhambet, Dilnara Zhanibekova, and Karakat Sakenkyzy were awarded letters of appreciation from the Minister of Science and Higher Education, Sayasat Nurbek.

On May 24, the trip continued with an excursion to Zhidebai. Participants visited Abai’s house museum and mausoleum, his birthplace Syrt Kaskabulak, the house museum of the renowned writer Mukhtar Auezov, as well as the historic mausoleum of Enlik-Kebek, gaining insight into the spiritual and cultural treasures of the nation.
