Professor Mukhaddas Gabdiyev’s Recital Concert Held
As part of the 85th anniversary celebration of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University and in honor of the Day of Cultural and Art Workers on May 21, a recital concert by Professor Mukhaddas Gabdiyev took place.
Mukhaddas Gabdiyev is an Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Grand Prix winner of the International Bayan and Accordion Competition in Italy, professor at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, and a distinguished educator and composer who has made a significant contribution to the development of Kazakhstan’s musical art.
The concert featured performances of Ykylas’s “Yerden” kui, the folk kui “Karasai”, “Kobyz Saryny” – an arrangement for bayan by Professor Gabdiyev himself – as well as Vladimir Zubitsky’s “Jazz Waltz”. In addition, laureate of national competitions and Head of the Department of Music and Art, Akkenzhe Shauzhanova, gave a masterful performance of Kenen Azirbayev “Bastau” and Kyzyl’s “Oikok”.
During the event, the official ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for three new educational publications: Pedagogical Repertoire for Bayan, Anthology of Musical Works for Bayan co-authored by Associate Professor Satim Azhiken and Professor Mukhaddas Gabdiyev, and Song Collection for Music Lessons by Atyrau Composers by Satim Azhiken.
At the launch ceremony, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and Professor Askhat Imangaliyev, along with Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Askhat Chukurov, expressed their warm congratulations to the authors. “Today’s concert is more than just a performance – it is a celebration of talent and mastery. Professor Mukhaddas Gabdiyev is a true professional, a gifted artist who has conquered great heights in the field of music, both nationally and internationally. I sincerely congratulate him on the successful concert and the release of his new books!” said Professor Imangaliyev.
Vice-Rector Askhat Chukurov presented a letter of appreciation on behalf of Chairman of the Board Salamat Idrissov to the concert’s honoree.
The concert program also included performances by the professor’s students, who played both traditional and contemporary Kazakh compositions on the bayan, leaving a lasting impression on the audience. The evening concluded with a group photo of the performers and guests to commemorate the event.
