Plenary Session Held on “Working Professions and Kazakh Writers”
Today, the traveling plenary session of the Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan titled “Working Professions and Kazakh Writers” was held in Atyrau.
This significant literary and cultural event brought together the leadership of the Writers’ Union, prominent authors, public figures, and representatives of the intelligentsia. Among the participants were the Chairman of the Board – Rector of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, Salamat Idrissov, and members of the faculty.
The main objective of the plenary was to offer a new perspective on the portrayal of workers in literature and to define the spiritual role of labor professions in modern society. During the visit, the writers were introduced to local industrial enterprises and held meetings with workers.
Chairman of the Writers’ Union, Mereke Kulkenov, opened the plenary session and highlighted the importance of the event. The Akim of Atyrau Region, Serik Shapkenov, delivered a speech wishing participants success and read a congratulatory letter from the State Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Karin.
Throughout the event, Doctor of Philological Sciences and Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, Kanseit Abdezuly, State Prize laureate Kadirbek Segizbayev, writer and “Kurmet” Order recipient Moldakhmet Kanaz, and other authors delivered meaningful presentations discussing the image of the worker in literature and the spiritual identity of the modern laborer.
This large-scale gathering was aimed at revitalizing the image of the worker in literature and enhancing the societal recognition of working people.
