A solemn graduation ceremony was held at the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, one of the leading academic divisions of Khalel Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, to celebrate this year's graduates.
With its origins tracing back to the former Faculty of Philology and Geography, the Faculty of Humanities and Arts has grown into one of the University's largest educational centers. Today, it prepares highly qualified and competitive professionals in the fields of humanities, education, social sciences, and the arts. Throughout its history, the Faculty has educated thousands of teachers, journalists, historians, designers, and creative professionals, making a significant contribution to the country's development.
This year, the Faculty celebrated the graduation of 224 students. Among them, 19 graduates received honors diplomas, while 18 master's students successfully completed their graduate studies and earned their master's degrees, marking an important milestone in their academic and research careers.
The ceremony was attended by the University's leadership, faculty members, graduates, their families, and distinguished guests. The occasion marked the culmination of several years of dedication and hard work while opening a new chapter in the professional lives of the graduates.
The event began with a video address by Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who congratulated graduates across the country's higher education institutions.
Askhat Yeraliyevich Chukurov, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of Khalel Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, delivered a congratulatory speech. He wished the graduates every success in their future careers and emphasized the Faculty's important role in preparing highly qualified professionals for both the region and the nation. He also expressed confidence that the graduates' professional competence and strong sense of civic responsibility would make a meaningful contribution to society.
The ceremony's guest of honor was Almasbek Akhmetbekuly—a distinguished Kazakh poet, cultural figure, member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, Honorary Professor of Khalel Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, researcher of the literary legacy of Zhumeken Nazhimedenov, and author of the lyrics of the well-known patriotic song "Kök Tudyn Zhelbiregeni" ("The Blue Flag Is Waving"). He warmly congratulated the graduates on this significant milestone, encouraged them to serve their country with integrity, continuously develop their professional skills, and strive for new achievements. He also took part in the diploma presentation ceremony.
Professor Shakhman Nagimovich Nagimov, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and historian, congratulated the graduates on completing their university education. He wished them success in their future endeavors and emphasized that knowledge, dedication, and honest work are the foundation of lasting achievement.
During the ceremony, master's graduates and recipients of honors diplomas were specially recognized. Graduates who had actively contributed to the Faculty's academic, research, social, and creative life received letters of appreciation from the University administration and several regional government institutions. Special recognition was also given to students who distinguished themselves by winning national academic competitions and international contests, as well as those who demonstrated outstanding leadership and community engagement throughout their studies.
The celebration concluded with a festive concert featuring talented students and alumni of the Faculty. The memorable evening ended with a commemorative group photo, as graduates were wished every success in their professional careers, future accomplishments, and personal lives.
