A graduation ceremony for the Class of 2026 of the Faculty of Economics and Law was held at Atyrau University named after Khalel Dosmukhamedov.
The event brought together the university's leadership, faculty members, graduates, and their families. The ceremony marked the culmination of years of dedication, perseverance, and academic achievement, celebrating an important milestone as graduates embarked on the next chapter of their professional lives.
During the ceremony, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Askhat Yeralyuly congratulated the graduates and wished them every success in their future endeavors. In his remarks, he highlighted the Faculty of Economics and Law's significant contribution to preparing highly qualified professionals for the region and expressed confidence that the graduates' knowledge, skills, and sense of responsibility would make a meaningful contribution to Kazakhstan's socio-economic and legal development.
The ceremony also featured remarks by Almasbek Akhmetbekuly—poet, Honored Cultural Figure of Kazakhstan, member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan, Honorary Professor of Atyrau University named after Khalel Dosmukhamedov, renowned scholar of Zhumeken Nazhimedenov's legacy, and author of the patriotic song "Kók Tudyn Zhelbiregeni" ("The Fluttering Blue Flag"). Congratulating the graduates on this important milestone, he encouraged them to serve their country with integrity, continually enhance their professional expertise, and strive for excellence. As a distinguished guest, he also took part in the ceremonial presentation of diplomas.
This year, the Faculty graduated 256 bachelor's degree students, including 32 recipients of honors diplomas. In addition, 59 master's students successfully completed the scientific and pedagogical program and were awarded master's degrees.
A number of graduates also received a unique micro-credential certificate in "Investigation of Economic Crimes," jointly developed by the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Financial Monitoring and Atyrau University named after Khalel Dosmukhamedov. The certificate confirms that its recipients have acquired specialized knowledge and professional competencies in detecting and investigating economic crimes.
Alongside the awarding of diplomas, the university recognized outstanding graduates who made significant contributions to campus life and achieved notable success in the arts, sports, volunteer initiatives, regional and national debate tournaments, and startup projects. They were presented with letters of appreciation on behalf of Salamat Nurmukhanuly Idrisov, Chairman of the Management Board and Rector of Atyrau University named after Khalel Dosmukhamedov, as well as the Akim of Atyrau, the Atyrau Regional Department of Internal Policy, and the Atyrau Regional Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, graduates and their families expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the faculty and commemorated the occasion with photographs. Warm wishes for continued success, personal fulfillment, and a bright future accompanied the graduates as they prepared to begin the next stage of their professional journeys.
