The Scientific Library of Atyrau University named after Khalel Dosmukhamedov has been enriched with 80 copies of Elen-Alan, a renowned novel by prominent Kazakh writer Abish Kekilbayev. The books were donated as part of a republication initiative supported by Bank CenterCredit. This contribution will provide students and faculty members with greater access to Kazakhstan’s rich literary heritage.
On behalf of the university, the books were received by Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Kansulu Mussakyzy Utepkaliyeva. The donation was presented by Zhuldyz Tolegenovna Dauletkaliyeva, Deputy Director of the Atyrau Branch of Bank CenterCredit JSC.
Elen-Alan is considered one of the most significant works of Kazakh literature. The novel depicts the era of Abulkhair Khan and explores pivotal periods that shaped the historical destiny of the Kazakh people. Through its compelling narrative, the work addresses themes of leadership, responsibility to the nation, national unity, and critical historical choices.
The newly donated editions will support the academic and intellectual pursuits of students and faculty members, promote appreciation of Kazakhstan’s literary legacy, and contribute to strengthening historical awareness among younger generations.
